Vehicle Detail
1979 Ford F100 Short Wheelbase I had this truck for sale but had to pull the ad because someone wrecked me on the interstate on March 14, 2012. I have settled with their insurance and bought the truck back from them to part it out or sell as a whole. I do have the title. It was clean but the truck is now a total loss, so if you want to rebuild it, it is up to you what to do with the title. NOTE: If not sold, I will then start the part out process immediately after this auction. TRUCK WILL NOT START OR DRIVE, MUST BE TOWED. High performance 302 V8 crate motor from Phoenix Muscle Car http://www.phoenixmusclecar.com/Ford-06.html , 272 hp dyno, Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm Performer 4 bbl. Carb and engine less than 2k miles old Freshly rebuilt C4 auto trans (just installed 2/18) including new planetary gears and torque converter Brand new Goodyear Wrangler tires True dual Flowmaster exhaust system is damaged but mufflers are still good. Has original cast iron manifolds, no headers. Floor pans are 100% and original. I was spun on the interstate, hit in the left rear, then I did a 270 and rear ended the dividing wall. So the only panels worth salvage are the hood and front fenders. Driver's side door could be repaired, small dent. All glass is still perfect except for small "bullseye" crack in windshield that has been there for a while. Interior is very nice and has a recently recovered front bench. New front brake rotors, calipers, and pads. I have a power boosted master cylinder and matching pedal to include. New starter and MSD blaster 2 coil. Many more extras. It did run and drive great, used to starts easily and sounds mean. Ever since the accident, it will not start. I get no electrical current to anything but the battery is fine. Fusable links to the solenoid are good. I get voltage to the hot side of the solenoid when the ignition is off, but I get nothing when ignition is turned on or started. Radiator has a slow leak from the impact, it was dislodged a bit. The crate engine and transmission rebuild cost more than $4,000 in materials alone! And that's not counting the $400 worth of new tires. And all are less than 1 year old and fewer than 2,000 miles. Quite the deal for someone looking for a parts donor! Email for questions $250 non refundable deposit due through Paypal within 24 hours of auction closing. UPDATE 4/25/12: Had some questions on the motor and transmisssion. I traded for this truck in October 2011. The previous owner installed the engine. He ordered it from Phoenix Muscle in February 2011 and he gave me the Paypal reciept. Soon after we traded, I put on the tires in November (WalMart, have receipt), drove maybe 200 miles on them, then the transmission went out. I took out the transmission and my friend who is a 25+ year transmission mechanic rebuilt it for me. I paid him for the price of parts, which were all new, and he rebuilt it as a favor to me. I got the transmission installed back in February and maybe drove it only a few more times before the accident. I do not have a reciept for the transmission work, but (for what it's worth) I included pictures of me taking it out and putting it back in with the new torque converter. Items listed above are practically new and worked like new for me but everything is sold "as is."
