1968 Mercedes Benz 200D1968 Mercedes fintail sedan. The car is a 1968 but the engine and transmission are from a 1981 240 diesel. I haven't owned the car long but here's what I've found... The exterior is in good shape with some rust around the bottom, I hear this is typical for these cars.The engine starts right up and runs and the previous owner used this as a daily driver. It does however need an alternator or voltage regulator, about once a week the battery needs to be put on a charger. It drives and shifts fine. The rear brakes need to be done, it leaks some brake fluid from the rear drums. The seats are all in great shape, the dash has cracks, and the headliner sags a bit. The floors in the car need to be repaired or have new ones welded in.Mileage is estimated, the odometer has been altered, the guy I got this car from said there was 100k on the engine, ACTUAL MILEAGE UNKNOWNLike I say, I have not owned her for long, I just don't have the time to put into this car.
