This is a 1951 CJ3A Willys jeep that belonged to a SE Georgia Cattle farmer and hasn't ever been in salty roads of colder areas. This vehicle was one of 3 jeeps that belonged to person and had nice weather proof shelter over head appeared not to have been abused or trashed" and limited use because of multiple "toys. This is not a patch plate or bondo special as some of these older Willys on ebay appear to be and even the under pasenger seat utility box is solid(rare). The wind shield frame is very solid as well and this is recurring problem on Willys exposed to elements as well as floor pans.The paint is recent and is enamel OD green and only pic with dog is pre new paint that jeep is currently. The windshield is a 2 piece plexiglass and is not stock as this year didn't have the 2 piece. This vehicle hasn't had a frame off restore to my knowledge but has had engine rebuild with new over bore pistons,valves with recut seats etc.etc and not just "ring job" about 7k miles ago and doesn't smoke or knock(see embed youtube vid) and holds oil well but some seepage from pan. The engine cranks easily idles/runs evenly all cylinders with strong oil pressure. The tranny shifts smoothly and has T90 3 speed with Hi-low range and operational 4 wheel drive. I have seepage off the passsenger side of transfer case from lower seal and I check once every 6 months and add 6 oz typically but I have never allowed lubricants to get low so tranny transfer work as expected. The front leaf springs and shocks were replaced as were numerous other items. This vehicle steers / brakes straight and master and wheel cylinders replaced in last 3 years. The muffler/tail pipe is not stock but is functional and a skid plate with access drain hole access was added(see pics) by prev. owner. When I purchased it had a roll bar mounted but I wanted purist look so I removed but I still have and willl include with purchase.The actual mileage I cannot be sure of because these stock odometers only went 5 digit and "rolled" over and could have even had spedo replaced in past so "mileage" listed because required field.. This isn't a "best of show" or a 10 and the price reflects but I think is solid vehicle with more potential. This vehicle will probably gain value because of this and could get enjoyment out of while making a "10". I don't have doors or top cover for but these could be added easily and with basic skill could even "roll you own parts". The head lights,brake/running lights function as well as speedo but fuel gauge needs sender(dip stick included with purchase). The rear bumper was modified but great weld job and is stronger than original. The seats have tear and cheap to fix and Wmart has cover material. There was a u-joint/drive shaft failure at some time in past and I included pic of this area where make a couple of dents underside,no serious damage,just cosmetic. This vehicle doesn't have title and I operate with registration and I well give bill of sale with purchase. If you purchase one of the patch plate non running types you will spend more than the list price after buying parts and restoring and won's just instant gratification as with this ready to roll Willys.The dog in header pic passed on 4/15/12(RIP Ernie, gone but never forgotten "buddy") and if not for that you would have prob. had to fight him or adopt to take "his" ride away. You need to do these investigations and I will assist shipper when they arrive. The independent shipper companies are much cheaper than some of the big name companies and sometimes they have empty rack/space and headed your way so may even negociate rate - make sure they are bonded insured. I remind bidders that there is deposit required after auction close as I have had problem with this in past.
