1989 PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM The ultimate firebird, and one of the foremost American Performance cars, the Trans Am GTA. The Trans Am has never been short of performance, this 1989 GTA still will not disappoint those seeking a high-powered, American built 2+2. The power is provided by the 5.7-liter (350 cu in.) V-8 equipped with tuned-port injection (TPI) , which develops 225bhp and 330 lbs. ft. of torque and is coupled to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This car is leather & has the original engine & transmission at 90,100 as you can see in the pictures and has T-Tops. With the car being older it is a little cold to start & will need warming per my father who is a diesel mechanic but you can crank with no problems & it is very dependable & will GO! Everything works on the car. The engine light comes on sometimes & will need to be turned off. My father has looked the car over & adjusted timing & sees no mechanical problems. This is a car that is fun to drive & will need some TLC to keep it beautiful for years to come. We have removed the original cassette radio & still have, we added a new SONY CD Player with a USB connecter at the end of 2011. Powering locks, windows, AC & heater still work. Tread on tires is very good shape & hardly no wear. Please see the pics & let me know if you have any questions. Noted problems: Will need a paint job has small rust, needs rear spoiler & new T-top seals eventually. Driver leather bottom seat is torn will need to be resewn & rear seat in the middle has come unstitched in a small area (see pics). Just had antenna not come up the other day will try to see why not.
