The vehicle is a former police car that has been owned solely by the Northwest Lancaster County Regional Police Department. The car has an 8 cylinder 5.7 L Hemi Engine and is white with gray interior cloth seats. This is not your typical retired police car. It has been well maintained and taken care of. The officers using the car treated it as their own. The vehicle is currently equipped with a spotlight that can be readily removed if desired. There are two rubber grommet plugs in the roof and one in the trunk lid from prior emergency light wiring and antennae. The exterior and interior are in excellent condition and the car is equipped with a power adjustable driver’s seat. The vehicle heating and air conditioning systems work well with no known deficiencies. The engine also runs well with no known problems. The vehicle does need new tie rods and ball joints. Our mechanic estimated those cost of repairs to be approximately $500. The only reason the repairs had not been completed was the retirement from our fleet status of the vehicle. Otherwise the vehicle meets Pennsylvania Inspection Requirements. Maintenance records are available for inspection. Inspection of the vehicle at the police station can be arranged by appointment.
