1959 VW Dune Buggy It was completely redone about 7 yrs ago with everything being rebuilt or replaced at that time and it has about 2000 miles on it since then. The original floorpan was replaced with a custom built steel frame making it is very ridgid and strong. It has a rebuilt 1600cc single port Type 3 pancake engine with 87 mm jugs, deep sump oil pan, dual weber carbs.009 Bosch distributor with an electronic Igniter and dual exhaust. You can drive it all day on very little gas. The body is a Sand Shark and it is painted with PPG pearl white base coat/clear coat. It has been lowered and rides on 275/60-15`s up front and 31/13.0-15`s on the rear. It drives great and sticks to the road, plus it has a steering brake for added fun.On Apr-12-12 at 13:31:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I just lowered the reserve, and its not too far away from the current bid.This buggy is getting sold by the end of this weekend... too many toys and no room for it.
