Vehicle Detail
THIS IS A RE-LISTING FROM A PREVIOUS AUCTION. PLEASE READ THE CAR DETAILS BEFORE BIDDING. One wonderful 1993 Honda Civic Hatchback for sale, affectionately named, Rhonda the Red Honda. Unfortunately Rhonda has a cracked head gasket but she does have some redeeming qualities:new Clutch (2010 @ 175k miles)new Tires (2011)new Radiator (2011)new Muffler (2009)new Exhaust underbelly (2011)new front axel (left)This Civic consistently got 38-40 miles a gallon when healthy. The car is third owner, the original owner a College student in MD who purchase new. Then purchased by my wife who had until we married. I've used it as a commuter car (almost entirely highway) for the last decade. The car currently runs but overheats consistently. Every 1500 miles it also burns a quart of oil. Other issues include:some body rust on rear external wheel-wellradio & tape player are functional but display is dead as are a few buttonsthe latch to the truck is stripped & loosethe windshield and hood have been replaced after a faulty hood latch sent the hood careening into the glass @ 75/mph. The latch, hood and windshield were all replaced with after-market partsthe black aftermarket hood was lovingly spray painted with rustoleum and red paintthe A/C also doesn't work, but there's coolant in the system. It might need a new compressor. The heat works great though! right side knocks a little while turning 45 degrees, mechanic can't find anything wrongfront right fender is separating from car, it's been like that for yearsleft plastic glove compartment latch is broken. It still locks in place with a little effortcar leaks a little coolant, not sure why. The car has been treated with Blue Devil head gasket sealant, which did not work. I'd like to sell local but am willing to arrange shipping if you make it easy on me and all shipping costs are incurred by the buyer. THIS VEHICLE STARTS AND WILL RUN, BUT IT'S HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ARRANGE TOWING OR SHIPPING, IT'S UNLIKELY THE CAR WILL DRIVE MORE THAN 10 MINUTES WITHOUT OVERHEATING. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS. Email with any questions or for additional photos.
