***UPDATED*** Offered is a complete 1960 Mercedes Benz 180b with the rare Webasto sunroof option. Mileage shows 97950, not sure if it has turned over once or not. Finished in original DB40 (black) with cloth interior. Older mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Runs great, starts every time without fail. Regular fluid changes and scheduled maintenance done by me. Exterior paint is serviceable, a "20 footer" some might call it. She can easily be re-sprayed her original DB40. No rust or rot, NONE! I have been all over, under and inside this car. I have owned 8 different Ponton body style cars so I know these cars very well. I know where the rust "hides" and I have checked all of these areas completely. Her interior will need some work, let me explain: Seats are cloth covered and will need some attention. I have aftermarket covers on them now to preserve what is left of the original fabric. The drivers seat springs should be reinforced with newer ones. Door panels are in excellent shape however the panel on the drivers side door has a broken chrome strip. The headliner is in excellent condition. All electrical items work as they should - horn, turn signals, headlights and even the clock! The Webasto roof is complete and works flawlessly. Both the top and the headliner for the top are in excellent condition. Some of the rubber could use replacing, not an expensive undertaking. Heater boxes are intact and function well. Brakes have just been fully inspected and the system bled and filled with new brake fluid. The emergency brake also functions well. The clutch works as it should, shifts with no sloppiness or issues. The exhaust is newer and functions perfectly. The tires on her are almost brand new, there are six (6) of them. Four plus two spares! All hub caps are in excellent shape, not curbed. Chrome is in great, but not show condition. Car comes with a car cover. The German license plate on the front of the car is for show only. It has been "De-certified" as per German government rules. It was installed by the previous owner but I never removed it. Sale of this car includes a treasure trove of spare parts: an EARLY, mint, still in the box, two-spoke, Mercedes Benz OEM ivory steering wheel and ivory center cap. This steering wheel is not like the one currently installed on the car. It is the earlier version that was installed on these cars starting in 1956 (including the 190sl). Current cost for this wheel alone is $1,000.00.four (4) brand new Bilstein shocks (still in boxes).five (5) different, period correct radios WITH Bakelite surrounds and speaker grillesCORRECT front rectangular fog lights rectangular rear fog lighttwo (2) CORRECT tool kits for this car (yes, they are the blackish steel tools and not the chrome ones found with the Finnies and the Pagodas).Extra rubber mats for the trunk as well as extra spare tire wheel well covers.two (2) COMPLETE sets of keys.
