Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a truck that I have enjoyed owning for several years It is a 1993 ext cab xlt 4x4 longbed diesel F-250. The drive train has 230k miles on it. The truck comes with a flip goose neck hitch in the bed and a heavy duty bumper on the rear. The truck is a good looking truck for its age. Since owning it I have made a few changes to the appearance. The interior has been changed to grey and black trim with even the center console and seat belt plastics and the plastics for the sunroof yes thats right this one comes with a big sunroof that was factory. You can completely remove the glass and have a big open space to look out of. The carpet has been dyed black also. It has power windows, locks, mirrors, and seats everything is factory in the interior. Now for the bad the 7.3 idi non turbo engine in it that was practically brand new when i purchased the truck in winston is no good. The company that cast it did not pay attention to how far they were machining the block and caused it to be to low therefor the pistons started contacting the heads and valve which then made the seal around the head gasket to leak causing water to get into the pistons. At first i thought it was just a simple head gasket leak, but after doing a top end rebuild and it repeating the same issue I decided to pull the engine and start over. After the engine was removed I had a friend that is a certified diesel tech on fords confirm that the pistons are hitting the heads. I no longer have the heads to this engine but i do have every single piece that came off the engine from removal. I do have another engine that i will let go with this truck. When the previous owner had the engine put in they also had a new torque converter installed also and it still looks brand new now. I honestly hate seeing this truck leave but I do not have the funds and not to mention I havent been able to find the set up i am looking for to go back in this truck. I was hoping to find a 90 model idi that was turbo diesel but as i said i have not been able to. This truck is perfect for someone looking to make it a play toy or sled puller. They are ideal for the power plant swap using a cummins or a early powerstroke. I had thought about doing this also but i dont have a donor truck to get the wiring harnes motor mounts, dash and computer. The truck goes as is unless buyer is not interested in the stacks going with it. I would just like to see the truck go to someone that will appreciate it and get some use out of it instead of sitting at my house collecting dust and going to waste. Thanks for looking the price is negotiable but do not try and offer me some petty amount or I will not hesitate to refuse and send you on your way. I am aware of how rare it is to find these trucks now so i know mine is worth a good price just for frame and body alone.
