All the options listed below came new on this vehicle from the Dodge factory. The only item not provided by the factory is the “triple chrome plating” on the optional factory wheels, which was done locally right after the car was delivered. This is a one family vehicle that has always been garaged. It’s an Arizona vehicle so there is absolutely no rust of any kind. My retired parents bought this Durango new in 1998. We call my dad Mr. Clean because he so meticulous about keeping everything clean and like new. When dad was ready for a different vehicle (he doesn’t like SUV’s), I was first in line to buy the Durango. It was like a new car and I know how my dad takes care of his vehicles. My parents replaced the Durango with a new Dodge Magnum in 2005, which they love and still have. In 1998 the Durango was made as a mid-sized SUV, larger than a Ford Bronco but smaller than a Chevy Blazer. The Durango was not unibody construction like most cars, but instead, it is built on a heavy-duty truck chassis with a boxed steel frame. We have the original window sticker that came with this vehicle and the original 1998 Dodge Durango brochure. This vehicle has always been serviced properly and most of the time before service was due. We have always used Mobile 1 oil in the engine. It has been a very reliable trouble-free vehicle. Its always been hand-washed with de-mineralized, filtered water and dried with microfiber towels. Everything on this vehicle is original and in very nice condition. Even the floor mats are original and still in very nice condition. The 5.9 engine is smooth and has lots of power, which is really nice when you need to pass another vehicle on the highway. It gets about 13-14 mpg in town and about 16 to 18 on the highway. We had a major service done at 100K miles, which included replacing many items as preventative maintenance. This Durango has been strictly adult driven about 9,000 miles a year. It currently has 104K miles on it. If you want a good looking, very reliable and well maintained mid-sized SUV, take a closer look at this one. It’s going to make someone a very happy new owner. If you’re looking for a bargain, this could it …but not because of a low price but rather a great value for the money. This vehicle still looks like new, inside and out and it’s been extremely well maintained. I can tell you it gets plenty of compliments.
