Vehicle Detail
91,166 Miles Clear Title - Solid frame, many new parts included (see list below) I purchased this car because it came with many extra new parts that I am using to complete my restoration, the previous owner had it in his family for 20+ years. He purchased most of the parts to restore the car but never started the project. This TR4 is 95% complete, the good news is that it has a clear title, but this car is a RESTORATION CANDIDATE and has not been on the road since 1991 so it is in need of some TLC. Although the engine and transmission appear complete and parts are not missing, the condition of the mechanical components are unknown. This TR4 has a brand new upper dash (installed), the dash panel and gauges are complete and in good condition, with a little cleanup the dash could show well (the ash tray is missing) The black interior seats and carpet are decent and could be usable with a little stretching and touch up. The car was stored indoors in a heated shed with a concrete floor which saved it from rusting through but the body work and paint on this car is poor (filler has been used). The front drivers side fender and drivers side door have been replaced with newer parts, paint was put on them to protect them from rust and the paint job is poor. The trunk (see picture) and floors have rust but are not rusted through. All of the emblems are included and in good condition with very little pitting, the front and rear bumpers are not excellent but don't have dents and could be cleaned up or re-chromed. The frame does not show any signs of damage or repair (see picture), all of the tires hold air and have good tread, and the convertible top frame and new top is included (not pictured) This car will need work, however since there are not many of these cars left on the road, this could be a great project for the right buyer and bring a good value once complete!NEW PARTSNIB - Convertible Top (excellent condition unopened) NIB - (2) Carb Kits for Zenith Stromberg (Includes Hayne's repair Manual) NIB - U-jointsNIB - Master cylinder rebuild kitNIB - Bag of gaskets NIB - Inner & outer Tie-RodsNIB - Windshield & GasketsThis car is sold as is, I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. On Mar-28-12 at 15:21:35 PDT, seller added the following information: **EXCITING UPDATE** I had a little time and installed new points, condenser, rotor, spark plugs and cleaned the carbs. This little TR4 fired right up first crank. It runs like a champ on an external fuel tank! (the fuel tank needs to be drained & cleaned) Even the exhaust is solid - The more I look at this TR4 the more I am tempted to throw a quick coat of paint on it and drive it around while I finish my restoration. On Mar-30-12 at 06:56:46 PDT, seller added the following information: ANSWER: The car is mostly complete. The front bumper brackets are included, the top rails are not included they were garbage and not worth keeping ($80 for the set at Victoria British) and the front Valance is missing (There is one selling on eBay for $90). On the interior the ash tray is missing and the drivers side interior door panel is missing. Other than that the car is complete and even has aftermarket seat belts installed.
