1983 Mercedes Benz 300SD Turbo Diesel Gold Exterior with Tan Leather Interior 188,000 miles – 5 Cylinder Diesel Automatic Transmission Clean Car Fax Only 2 Owners This car was in storage for 3+ years and will need some work. Currently it does run and drive, but for safety it should be thoroughly checked. This car was owned by family for a long time. My father purchased it from a friend, and we have had it ever since. It has not been registered since 2008 due to my father's passing in 2009. The car put in storage and sat in storage for almost 4 years now. It was stored inside a climate controlled warehouse. A week ago a fresh battery and fresh diesel were added to test the car and it fired right up. I kept the car in hopes of fixing it, but with a new job opportunity I will moving out of state. Unfortunately I won't be able to keep this car and transport, and then fix the minor issues it has. No time, and not enough knowledge of diesels is something else I would have to battle. I have had this car out on the road and it drive and runs smooth. Mechanically I can only give you my limited knowledge. It does need 2 tires, 2 are brand new. Also a good flush of the fluids and changing filters. The exterior is solid, but does have some rust in the usual places. Around the rear wheel wells, and some small spots above the side moldings. That is pictured as well. Also the front driver side turn signal needs to be replaced because it was busted. Everything else can be seen in the pictures, and you can see it is solid. As far as the interior is concerned it is good shape, nothing major beyond the normal wear. All exterior and interior lights work. The heater blower works. Sunroof and passenger side windows work, but the passenger side may need to have the switches cleaned or replaced. Power seats also work, but the radio isn’t powering up. The wood trim that goes across the dashboard needs to be glued back on. I may have missed some minor issues, but that can only be expected since the car is 29 years old. Most importantly the car needs to be driven, and shows original. The car needs a little TLC and could become a great daily driver. Also it would be perfect for a bio-diesel conversation for someone who has the mechanical ability and know how.
