I have a 1973 ford courier pickup truck for sale. Just had a valve job done but it was too much compression for the rings. Engine started to smoke. You will need a short block. (Lower end) New water pump about 6 months ago. Does not come with a battery. Has a small dent on the passenger side door. Don't know where it came from. Probably a supermarket parking lot. molding is coming off on driver side rear. Can be glued back on. No radio. All electrical seems to be working ok.Truck was originally red but I painted it white. rear bed, under the hood, back of cab between camper and interior metal is still red. Seat is black. small rip on driver's side. I am the second owner. Never been wrecked. Parking brake not working. Great truck when running. great gas saver. It was my daily driver for about Eight (8) years with no problems. You do not have to smog this truck any more. California tags good til feb. 2013. Truck smokes but you can drive it away if you want to take the chance. You will need to bring a battery. needs new choke cable. You will have to open the hood in the morning to manually choke the carb to start the truck until you connect choke cable. then the truck will start all day with out choking. Throtle linkage needs a small plastic part. It is wired together right now and seems to work ok with no problems, but you might want to get the plastic part. Hood has to be opened by pulling hood cable. lever is disconnected or something. Haven't had time to check it out. Tires are fair. Tranny sometimes hard to get in reverse. But moving the stick around will get it in there. If you want it shipped you will have to get and pay shipper. You are responsible for pick up and/or shipping charges. Hate to let it go but just got another truck. Truck is being sold as is. I have tried to list all the things that need fixing or attention. Some parts from mazda trucks are interchangeable. I have a couple of service manuals. (pages are all loose). and some filters oil & air & miscellanious parts that you can have. A little work and you will have a great little truck. Truck is also for sale Locally so I reserve the right to cancel auction. Starting price is $950 but will consider any reasonable offer. Do not bid if you are not going to pay. Contact me with any questions before bidding. If you just want some parts let me know and I will part it out before sending it to the junk yard for whatever they will give me for it. No leins, No tickets, Title is clear, I have the Pink slip. No problem registering vehicle. Do not let this truck go to the junk yard. That is where it is going if it doesn't sell here. I will not relist. I do not have the time or room for it . It has to go as soon as auction is over. You will have to pay before you pick up truck. I will need your information for sales receipt, and DMV "Notice of Transfer and release of liability" form.
