This BMW 850i was donated through the Independent National Charity's Vehicle Donation Program to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this unique vehicle will go to support their mission. Description Not many BMW 8-Series are in US – only 7,232 were sold from 1990 to 1997, and probably a fraction of those have survived. Even less have manual transmissions. If you are an aficionado, you’ll notice in the pictures this car has an “850Ci” badge on the rear trunk, however, the VIN decodes the vehicle as an ‘850i’ and the VIN plate verifies this. The “Ci” badge therefore is probably an add-on and is misleading. According to the vehicle identification tag on the vehicle it is an 850i. It is still a rare and special vehicle! Cosmetically Exterior Cosmetically, there is no major body damage, although there is an obvious paint chip on the rear bumper. There is no visible rust. The vehicle may have been repainted. Some of the paint may also be worn. However, the vehicle’s “AutoCheck” history report indicates “no accidents or damage reported”. Several tires are flat. One spare is on, and the full-size is in the trunk. The vehicle will need new tires. The alloys are aftermarket and have scratches and scrapes. The spare tire pictured has the factory wheel. The aftermarket wheel is in the trunk. There is a spoiler on the trunk. We have not determined whether this was a genuine factory option or aftermarket add-on. Interior On the inside, the leather is worn on the front seats. There is an aftermarket stereo installed, and the original unit is likely not included. Mechanically The vehicle starts and runs. We are unable to drive and road test the vehicle because of the flat tire. There may be other cosmetic and mechanical issues that are unknown. The previous owner/donor told us it had several thousand dollars worth of mechanical work completed; however, we do not have the repair history or the details. The ‘ASC’ traction control light does stay lit on the instrumental cluster. Like a lot of other surviving 8-Series, the pixels are fading in the digital readout. The odometer displays 119,116 miles.
