This is our 1975 PORSCHE 914 TARGA, this should be considered a worthwhile "mechanics special" as it needs the transmission replaced. This is a very straight and solid desert car with no rust or rot. The car has been stored inside and out of the elements so the body and interior are well above average for the year! This auction has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. Also, I plan on selling many of the cars in my collection this year, so it will benefit other collectors and those of you that already know me and what I have to continue watching my listings! Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! Cosmetically, the body of this Porsche is excellent, it is complete and very straight with the exception of the scrape on the lower portion of the passenger door (see pic). The floors and undercarriage are very solid and very clean. All glass is clean, clear and in good shape. Trunk areas and quarters look good. The car has never been in an accident and the original factory paint is still on the car but does have many road chips and scratches. I also see a crack on the right tail lens. The interior is complete except for the radio. It is all original and in excellent condition for the year! Mechanically, this 914 has the original 1.8 liter engine, I would expect to at least have the carbs cleaned and a full service as it has been stored for a bit. The manual trans has been removed from the car and is now gone, axles are still intact (see pics). I have in hand the clean and clear California title/ownership certificate on this Porsche. California registration expired in February 2011. I will have the car stored inside until buyer arrives or we deliver it. I said "carbs will need cleaned" when I should have said that the gas has been drained but fuel system will still need cleaned!!On Mar-27-12 at 05:07:41 PDT, seller added the following information: AN UPDATE FOR ALL BIDDERS!!! I have removed the black factory mat in the trunk to take some requested pictures and did discover a spot of rust. It is repairable but I wanted to make sure everybody is aware that it is there!
