1970 Volkswagen Van This vehicle is being sold for a client of mine. The owner is the son of the original owner who willed it to him when he passed away. He has the same name as his father. I was told by the owner that this bus was in a movie when his father owned it. The movie is a 1973 film called Scarecrow with Al Pacino and Gene Hackman. I rented the movie and saw that Al Pacino and Gene Hackman took a ride from someone in a white 70's VW Van. It showed them getting out and leaving the bus. I have a Texas license plate linked to the bus that the owner said could be traced to the movie bus that comes with it. I make no guarantees as to this claim, it's just what I was told by the owner. The Good: Pretty complete and restorable Bus Clear title Running motor Good transmission Minimal rust Good glass Rear seat Original sales receipt Original owners manual and other VW paper work I believe this bus would be a great candidate for a restoration due to the fact that it is fairly complete!!! The motor runs but needs an overhaul and it needs body and interior work. I will be flexible with pick up time and date but understand it must be done soon because they're loosing their storage space and have no other place to keep it. All shipping costs and arrangements will be the responsibility of the buyer. I will entertain all REASONABLE offers!
