You are bidding on a beautiful 1968 mustang coupe. This classic was recently, partially, restored with the daily driver in mind. Many new parts and upholstery installed, to create a safe and reliable driver. When restoring, a modern tribute to the famous mustang that Steve McQueen drove in the movie Bullitt was accomplished. A custom twist was added to that tribute with a candy paint of Bullitt green. There is a slight blue tint in certain lighting that gleams in the sun with the metal flakes. An aggressive and modern stance is accomplish with modern wheels and wheel spacers to increase wheel base. Inside this classic, you are invited to a beautifuly rich custom upholstery throughout. This brand new upholstery is finished in grey cloth with grey vinyl and yellow piping. Every inch of the mustangs interior is wrapped in this custom upholstery including headliner, side posts and door cards. The dash is in good condition for age with many chrome accents and working dials. This mustang is the very rare and sought after J code option. That means it was powered by, the one year only, 302 ci v8 from the factory, instead of the traditional 289 ci. To pay tribute to the original engine, a great running 302 mated to 289 heads, has been installed. The block number is D2OE-6015-AE. It has a fresh oil and filter change. Engine runs extremely smooth and donsnt burn oil. A new water pump and power steering pump have also been installed. This engine breaths through a Specture air filter and a Motor Craft two barrel carburetor for great fuel economy. The sound of this engine is very healthy and muscular due to duel glass packs. Power is seamlessly transferred through a C4 automatic transmission. This classic stays safely glued to the road due to brand new suspension through out. This includes new control arms, gas adjust shocks, springs, and rubber bushings. A new alignment was also preformed. The fuel system has been redone including cleaned gas tank, fuel lines, new gas cap, and new electric fuel pump. Included with sale is an after market original styled Air conditioning box and an Eaton compressor with mounting bracket. Also comes with lots of the replaced parts. This includes: mechanical fuel pump, original gas cap, 1 motor mount, both sets of original control arms, freeze plug, original hood latching mechanism, oil pan, and valve covers. Therefor mostly the safety, comfort, and reliability issues have been addressed. But there are some things might and have to be addressed before driving. Here is a list of small issues that I am aware of to the best of my knowledge : Because this was just built as a daily driver that you don't have to feel guilty driving, the paint and body are not perfect. The body has little bumps and dents all over, that can be seen up close. The paint has multiple little cracks and chips, which can be seen in the video. Also, as seen in video, the car is not perfecty straight but it does drive straight. All tires have low tred. New brake shoes have been installed but brake fluid needs bleeding. The car stops fine but you have to pump brakes before every stop until fixed. The engine is not numbers matching. The door locking mechanism, on both doors, is seized and will need to be fixed. Because I tried to investigate the door locks, the door cards have been pulled back and need to be put back on. The passenger cardboard door card has to be replaced but it is cheap. The stems you pull to unlock doors are missing on both doors. The heater unit blows air but not hot. The clock doesn't work. All other gauges work except the temperature gauge which has been moved to external gauge on dash. The radio doesn't work. I was told by the previous owner that is just not wired up to ignition. The blinker stalk is worn out inside steering column and will need to be repaired before blinkers work. The dashboard is faded but not cracked. The shift indicator is not screwed into floorboard. There are multiple chips on interior paint as seen in video. The windshield is cracked but may pass inspection in some states. The passenger window sticks sometimes when trying to roll down. You just have to wiggle it some because it needs some oil on tracks. One of the freeze plugs has a slight coolant leak but does not overheat. That is an easy fix. One spring that keeps the hood raised is missing and causes the hood to sag and rub fender some. The horn on the custom wheel has been moved to button on dash. It needs new weather striping on doors and trunk. The tags and inspection are out of date. The car has some light surface rust on the undercarriage as any daily driver of this age would have. I would recommend having the undercarriage sand blasted and primered. Terms and Conditions You must be over 18 to bid and pay deposit with pay pal only.
