Vehicle Detail

1973 CB 750 New Paint job, deep gloss black with a gold stripe down the middle of the tank and seat. Its non metallic and is very deep black the paint is show quality. The gold stripe has just a hint of meteallic gold and looks great. The bike gets a crowd around it where ever it goes all due to the paint. Overal its in good running shape but not new. SUSPENSION: Front Rebuilt forks including new tubes (Frank's Engineering Evanston IL)New seals ( i did not put on the dust caps for aesthetic reasonsStripped and painted forks in Gun Metal GreyNew fork fluid and springsStock chrome rim in decent condition but has very small pits. However it looks great for its age and i liked that it was stock because it fits properly.New wheel bearings RearAftermarket ebay shocks and Springs stripped and painted RedCompletely stripped swingarm rebuilt to stock specsStock chrome rim in decent shape with almost no pits. Stock hub with new bearings FRAME:Stripped to bare metal and powder Coated Deep Gloss Black.Built the seat pan and battery box pan to hide the battery and all electronics under the seatTabs removed that were no longer needed ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:Built new wiring harness from scratch to include headlight tail light and charging system and a headlight switch that lights up and electric start. That alone shed 3 pounds of wiring. There no turn signals there are no buttons on the hand controls except the electric start button. Its stripped as much as possible while keeping the electric starter and all things needed to be on the road legally. The charging system works and both tail and head lights workall the connections were soldered and wrapped using both electrical tape and cloth tape over that. All dummy lights removed and the tripple clamp has a hand made cover in steel. CONTROLS:The hand controls are stripped. There are no wiring or buttons except the starter button. The clipons are Tommosselli aluminum barsNew cables Stock Brake pedal was drilledClutch lever is from a Suzuki and is stock black Stock Shifter was drilledchrome kick stand BRAKES: Front disk is heavily drilled and is lighter Caliper was not only rebuilt with new seals a hole was drilled and tapped to service the piston. It makes removing the piston very easy. The disk center was stripped and painted gold.Master cylinder is a from a Kawasaki. It works great but not a Honda product.Steel braided lines from master to switch and from switch to caliperNew brake fluidRear drum is stock ENGINE:The engine is stock. It has 17k on it i bought and it has 12k the previous owner kept the original guages and i used other guages to keep track of miles for oil changes. I ended up selling those guages as well and did not put on any more miles. The previous owner kept mentioning and 836 kit however i did not open the engine and cannot confirm any of this and so its listed as a stock 750 motor. I really dont know so please dont ask me regarding this just assume its a 750.The carbs were rebuilt over winter and bench synched. However you will need to sync then using the proper method with a fluid guage. The bike runs fine but could use a carb synch.new fuel lines were used and the routing is an old race trick with springs around the lines so they dont kink and stay cool by the fact that the springs get cold in the wind and keep the fuel cooler. The engine covers are all chrome. This was done by the previous owner and they are are in good condition but the cam cover is starting to pit.The exhaust is an aftermaket header and i don't know the name of it. The tip was bought in Tokyo on a trip many years ago, i have no idea what it was for but it fit and looked right on this bike. It sounds throaty and rummbly but not obnoxiously loud. Also i am running with no clutch cover purely for aesthetic reasons again. BODYWORK: Stock tank with the addition of a key for the gas cap from a newer cbSeat is a Don Vesco Big Butt seat made to fit.
