Vehicle Detail
Beautiful, well kept three west coast adult owner car with only 114,xxx miles. I bought this car last July, after looking far and wide for a low mileage, all original, full service history, accident free car. I have the original window sticker and all records since it was first purchased. There are many e30 convertibles for sale out there for a lot less money, but you get what you pay for. I've owned two of these and looked at many others. Clean interior: no cracks in dash, no tears in leather, Recaro seats fully functioning. Clean exterior with the exception of a small blemish on the hood. I intended to keep this car, and therefore I fixed anything that was wrong and had a full service performed. Details below.
Recent service items:106k miles New tires, by previous owner.108k miles Timing Belt/water pump etc. replacement, by previous owner.By me since July:New Bilstein front struts and strut mounts.New Bilstein rear shocks and shock mounts.New "SI" board- these typically go bad and result in a non-op tachometer/temp guage/gas mileage meter and misc. service lights.New ignition tune up: plugs/wire set/distributor/rotor.Valves adjusted.Flushed and replaced all fluids/filters: brake/clutch/steering/cooling/differential/gearbox...New drive belts.New trunk and convertible cover struts.Replaced dash lights.Replaced window weather stripping.Wheel balance/alignment.New OEM exhaust/muffler/tailpipe.Drivers seat side bolster repair.(N) Rear brake pads. Fronts @ 75%.BMW BBS basketweaves. Previous owner records include the all important regular oil changes and timing belts. Needs:New top at some point. I did not replace it, as it is still weather tight and without holes etc. The window is cloudy however.Air conditioning needs conversion from R12 to R134A. Cannot recharge existing R12 which is no longer available. I found no tag on the hood or passenger side front quarter panel. The quarter panel has been removed as seen by the missing weld inside the hood- see additional pictures posted today. #2 I don't have every oil change record, but I do have most.
