Ladies and Gentlemen, For those of you who intend NOT to place a non-refundable deposit of $500 within 48 hours through Pay Pal after being the winning bidder...DO NOT BID!!!! For those of you who intend not to pick the car up after being the winning bidder...DO NOT BID!!!! For those of you who are located outside of the United States...DO NOT BID!!!! The shipping costs will be more that the car itself!!!!!! I apologize to those of you who are viewing and follow the E-bay rules. I have had two buyers just not respond after being the winning bidder. As always, thank you for viewing the Jaguar. For sale is a 1988 XJS Convertible Hess & Eisenhardt Jaguar. Please note the the Hess & Eisenhardt badge is not on either front fender. There are some good things about the car...the car drives well, runs strong and shifts very smoothly. There are concerns about the car which are displayed in the pictures. As you view the pictures I have done by best to show you the rust spots on the body. The body itself is not that bad and can be fixed without too much prep. Now to the major concern(s). The floor plans are in bad shape and there are holes in the floor pans on the driver and passenger sides as well as behind both seats. My guess is the convertible top leaked for years and the car was not garaged. I want to be clear...these floor pans will NOT pass inspection and need immediate attention to make the car safe. In regards to the interior you will need door panels and carpet. The seats just need a thorough cleaning and they will look fine. For those of you who have read this far I really think this car can be saved. For those of you looking for a Jag convertible this is your entry into that arena. This car does need attention but it is fixable. You have a complete car to work on and you would not be too far from being able to put in on the road after the floor pans are repaired. For those of you needing parts this is a great donor. You know how much parts for these cars cost and that's if you can actually find them. Finally, I have a clear title for the car but I cannot guarantee the mileage is accurate. :( Also, the rear window on the driver side will not go up. In addition, there appears to be a power steering leak as well. As mentioned, I have done my best to represent the car for what it is. I will be happy to answer your questions and provide pictures of the undercarriage in the event you request. I hope someone buys this car so I don't have to part it out. So come on and let's see if we can keep this car on the road. Buyer responsible for shipping. Thank you reading and viewing.
