Vehicle Detail

I would like to start off saying that I love Mopars, and have owned quite a few of them. (Charger,Demon,Challenger, Etc.) This is by far the nicest one I have ever owned. I even had a SRT8 Charger in back in 2006 and if you put these cars next to each other hands down you will take the Road Runner. ( The Road Runner is quicker to, I'll get to that in a second ) This is a Real RM23 1970 Road Runner 2 door Hard Top 383 car. They made coupes and hard tops. The rear windows roll down in the hard tops. This car is beautiful, Constantly gets thumbs up driving and questions at the gas stations. The car is a Southern car and was in storage for many years. A Red dirt wasp nest still is under the car, and this one came with the factory under coating. The car is completely solid. The odometer reads just over 18 Thousand which is a little low because I replaced the speedometer cable and now it works perfectly and is completely accurate. If you look at the original brake and gas pedals and everything else on the car you will see this is a low mileage car. Also When you drive there Is a shadow on the speedometer at 0 from the car sitting so long. It has a new power disk brake conversion kit added with new front disks, pads, and rotors.New ball joints and sway bar bushingsNew ShocksNew 255/60/15' Radials up front and 275/60/15's in the rear. This car sits perfect, and I believe it can take a turn better than my SRT8 Charger I had....This thing sticks to the road and does not lean. Original 3.23:1 Sure Grip Rear End. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country. I already have taken it on a couple 400 mile trips and a trip to Byron Drag Way in November where It turned a11.93 @ 113 MPH. Thanks to the brand new Edelbrock Nitrous System I installed. This car has a Era correct 383HP 68 cast block in it. They only used these in the Road Runners and Super Bees, They came with the heads, cam, and Hi Flow exhaust manifolds from the 440. They were rated at 335 Horse Power. In the early 70's before Mopar Performance was around some dealerships would sell a DP4B Edelbrock intake manifold. It was installed at dealerships and has a Chrysler part number on it. This car has one. This car has the original 2 1/4" exhaust on it with the stock exhaust manifolds. I changed the mufflers to allow a little more flow for the Nitrous. The car runs just as it should stock, gets 15 MPG on the highway, and will run a low 15 second quarter Mile Time. Change the rear tires, open the bottle and run in the 11's. The Nitrous is activated by a full throttle switch and a main switch next to the gauges under the dash. I also installed a new mini starter for faster starts.New Power master alternator.New mechanical gauges, and added a Volt meter. The stock gauges work I just have them disconnected.Gas gauge and Speedo workNew Colder NGK plugs.New 8.8 MSD Wires.New MSD Coil.Mallory Distributer.New Voltage Regulator.New thermostat.Gas tank has been cleaned.Radiator has been cleaned.Has a sony Cd Player with an Aux input for players with 2 6x9 speakers in the rear.Extra 12V cigarette lighter installed for phones etc.New front door arm rests, bases, and handles.New door seals, and window seals.New Horn Button.New Carpet.Road Runner Floor Mats.I believe in 70 they went with real leather seats. It has a holley 680 street avenger carb on it, Starts cold with 3 pumps of the gas...electronic choke. Idles perfect, runs perfect.Radiator support matches VIN.Car was completely gone over painted white, the original hood is painted Matte Black, with decals added to the front fenders, and the optioned stripe on the bottom. This car is completely rust free. This car is Beautiful. It needs minor things to make it perfect: I lost the passenger stainless piece on the passenger side windshield driving down the highway, left turn signal on dash needs to be wired, doors could be adjusted, I installed a cheap tachometer I had in the garage, some times it doesn't work.... Mechanical temperature gauge reads low, It could use an alignment because I did it myself at home. All things new owner will have a fun time tinkering with. The first time I saw this car in person I felt my heart stop.....but I guess that's what happens to real Mopar guys when they see something they like. White is my favorite Color. Good Luck! Also videos of the day I went to the track on my friends account, search rtrowbr1 on you tube.On Mar-06-12 at 20:35:38 PST, seller added the following information: New Optima battery New Holley 110 mechanical fuel pump in place of the stock one. The thing I love about this car is that is is so original looking and feeling. It sounds stock but is a real sleeper. The Hard Tops were a little more $ because they did not have the Pillar between the front and rear window. Plus the rear windows rolled down like the Chargers. It looks great when they are both rolled down, one big opening. Please Read above to see videos of car. I made two 1/4 mile passes with it. If you would like pictures of a specific area please let me know. The trunk looks brand new, with a couple of surface rust spots under the mat. You can detail this car and show it. Also the pictures make the seats look faded, they are not...It was so bright today when I was taking those, All pics and videos are from the last 5 monthsOn Mar-09-12 at 08:15:35 PST, seller added the following information: In 70 they did not use real leather for the seats, but the seats with the metal medallion was used with the decor group.
