We are selling our blue 97 Outback - technically a Legacy Outback - with 198,598 miles on it only because we ended up with another from a dealer friend and we don't need 3 cars. This was our first Subaru and we absolutely fell in love with them. We bought it from a neighbor who had all the records from '02 and we have added ours as well. We had the transmission completely rebuilt in 08 as we bought it with issues to the spider gear. Since then - the car has been nothing but INCREDIBLE. Never missed a beat during last year's onslaught of snow - never stuck and never failed to start. And the heated seats and mirrors are nothing short of a miracle on those cold winter mornings. It has the cold weather package with heated seats and mirrors. We put in a new Alpine CD player/receiver and Kenwood front speakers. The stereo will now accept ipod input or music from a USB flash drive. It contains an all weather mat for the rear compartment that is awesome for transporting stuff and still keeping the car clean. Tires were recently replaced along with alignment and balancing. Oil was changed religiously every 3k-3500 miles. It has brand new plugs and wires. It has always passed CT emissions testing. Fuel economy was around 22 mpg consistently. There are slight rub marks on the hood from a prior owner's wind deflector and there is a small rust spot on the rear - driver's side wheel well. It does have floor mats - but I simply forgot to have them back in the car for pictures - can send pictures of floor mats if requested.
