Vehicle Detail
Today I have decided to list my 1998 740IL BMW. This car is fully loaded. It is going to need an engine or major engine work. The guy I bought it from said it was making a lot of noise but would run. He thought it had to do with the timing. The battery is dead in the car and I have never heard it run. The engine is not stuck though. He started to remove the engine but all he did was take off the upper radiator hose and the engine cover. The engine cover is in the back seat. I priced a used engine and they are easy to find for around $1000.00. The interior of the car is in really nice condition. The only thing I noticed was the bottom of the back seat looks dirty. Probably needs a good cleaning. The exterior of the car is in rust free condition. The fromt bumper is cracked as shown in the picture. There is also light hail damage on the car. When I bought the car I was teaching a h.s. body shop class and thought this would be a good car to do PDR on to teach the students. I never got around to it. There is also a scratch on the hood, but should buff out. I have owned the car for a couple years and it is obvious that it is not a high priority on my project list so it is time to sell it to someone else. Also the right front grill likes to fall out, but I am pretty sure I have a replacement for it in the trunk. This is a southern car and has not been on the salty streets of Iowa. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. This is a project that does not run so it will have to be trailered. I expect the deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment due in 7 days. Pick up within two or three weeks unless other arrangements have been made. Thanks for looking and good luck.
