Vehicle Detail
2003 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer 4wd DIESEL 6.0L ONLY 63,900 ORIGINAL/ACTUAL MILES!!!! EXTERIOR: BLACK & LIKE NEW, INTERIOR: TAN TWO TONE LEATHER, 6.0 LITER POWERSTROKE TURBO DIESEL, TORQUE SHIFT 5-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I am the second owner (not a dealer) of this truck and it is super strong and it is extremely solid, Responsive and Powerful. When I purchased this truck unseen in 2008 from a BMW dealership in Indianapolis, as a new car trade in from a California mom that moved there. I was very sad at first to see a Banks six-gun tuner with a Pyrometer and boost gauge on it. But after taking it for a very long test drive I realized that the setting level 5 was the same engine performance as my first Eddie before Ford re-flashed to detune the early 6.0 in 2003. This SUV truck will get a true 20+ MPG at highway speeds. The main use for this truck was to pull a 14 ft. enclosed trailer to the wholesale trade shows with samples (not very heavy) in the spring and fall, most all miles are long haul - 1,800 to 4,600 miles at a time. So this is not a daily driver vehicle and always treated like a Queen, looking good has always been a must. Most All early model 6.0L had head gasket replacement under warranty as did my first Eddie, and this truck was overlooked by the first owner under warranty. Since this was such a common occurrence I wanted to make sure that when I did this, it was going to be a one and only job. I had ARP head studs and Black Onyx gaskets installed with the upgraded ford oil cooler and the “blue spring” fuel pressure regulator enhancement, which is a stock ford part to insure there is no fuel starvation to the injectors. Also under many Ford truck forums it was widely suggested to remove the stock EGR cooler while leaving the EGR valve intact, this will allow the turbo to get more air while preventing coolant from leaking into the intake. The result is a slight gain in horsepower and longer engine life. All of the work was done at once on 3/03/2011 by a very professional diesel shop that is specialized in medium to heavy duty engine repair. Diesel & Import Auto/Truck service inc. Blaine, MN. They came highly recommended by Alligator Diesel Performance out of Post Falls, Idaho, where I purchased all the upgraded parts from. Mileage at the time of repair was 60169 on the odometer. The 4X4 works perfect and engages with no problem. There are no oil leaks anywhere. This nice looking Eddie rides and drives LIKE NEW. The suspension is very tight and it does not make any noise. I added AIR LIFT brand assist boosters to the rear springs, with 12 pounds air pressure this truck sits level and very stable pulling a trailer or with 8 passengers at highway speeds around curves with severe cross winds, when in travel. All the power equipment and gauges work perfect. Attractive Two Tone style with Black paint is in great condition. Overall this is a very sharp looking truck. The leather interior as shown in the pictures is in excellent condition with no sign of abuse. This is a non-smoker vehicle and the inside is nice with no odors, stains or grease spots. This truck has the Ford upgrade gold package remote start/ alarm package. Just installed 4 new LT265/75R16/E Load Range E - Pro Comp Radial All Terrain comes with new tread technology that enables the Tire, to achieve the severe weather rating and 50,000 mile tread wear rating. Interlocking shoulder lug design and elliptical siping increases stability and wet weather traction. The Dual radius tread arc increases tread contact for greater traction. The Pro Comp Radial All Terrain is constructed of polyester and steel belting and is an excellent choice when you want a smooth, quite highway ride without compromising trail performance. A different business opportunity happened last month, so I do not need this great truck anymore. I have a clean title on this truck, The AutoCheck that ebay offers says that there was a lien on this truck by the first owner, that was satisfied before my purchase of this truck in 2008.
