Vehicle Detail

1979 Ford 391 F-600 - MONSTER TRUCK - Factory Built 4 x 4 -Heavy duty Rockwell Front Loader Axles -Clarke 5 Speed Transmission, -Rockwell Transfer case - 46" Tires mounted on Military Wheels with custom made center plates (same as used on the "Bobbed" 2.5 ton m35a2 trucks) Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Overview: This Factory 4 wheel drive Ford F-600 with 391 cubic inch engine has been shortened and made into a MONSTER TRUCK. It has been upgraded with NEW 46" Good Year tires on Military Hemtt Wheels and a stock Ford 73-79 8' Bed.. Exterior: Of all the 73-79 Ford Trucks I have had, this CAB is the best I have ever come across. Cab mounts and floors are excellent. 8' Bed is from an F-150 that was from kansas. Bed floors and cross members are excellent. Bed sides have small amount of rust at top of wheel wells. Front of hood has some rust at lower edge. Windshield has some chips, (I have a very nice extra windshield that will be included with the sale.) Both the cab and the bed are wearing their original paint, so there are no hidden surprises. Interior: Is in Extremely Good Condition, Still has original vinyl covering on seat, with one small tear on driver side. Mechanical: Runs and drives well. (could use a tune-up, due to the age of the plugs and wires) The rivets were removed from the rear spring shackles and the entire spring pack and rear axle was then moved forward and the frame was cut off from the rear. This was originally a 176 inch Wheel base well drilling truck. This truck still has the factory installed 6.14 to 1 axle ratio, it will do about 55-60 mph, please keep this in mind if you are planning to use it for long road trips. I basically intended this truck for off road use, but It can be made street legal with mudflaps and bumpers installed according to your local laws. The HARD part is done. Your next steps would be to choose your color scheme, get it prepped for paint and finish the items I have listed below. The rear step bumper and lower bumper plate need to be mounted. (I would recommend consulting your state regulations on bumper height before you mount them to make sure it is street legal.) Speedometer cable needs to be hooked up and heater core needs hoses hooked up. I have a factory front bumper if you wish to remove the tube bumper that is on it currently. Front locking hubs will need to be replaced to make the 4x4 operate properly. Dimensions: The truck is 8 feet tall to top of cab: It is 8 feet wide to outsides of tires. It is 18 feet long. I have the factory 37 inch tall dually wheels and tires that are included with the sale that may make it easier to transport. My friend and I have performed this entire project so far, so If you have questions, I should be able to give you the answer. This conversion vehicle is sold as-is and there is no warranty. METHODS OF PAYMENT: DEPOSIT BY PAYPAL AND REMAINING BALANCE BY CASH OR CASHIERS CHECK
