For sale: a 1982 Fiat Spider 2000. Car is in average condition and can be used as a restoration project or parts car. The engine runs but wont stay running. The body is in average condition for a typical Fiat Spider of this vintage. The shock towers and general strength points are in good condition. Car has 2000 liter FI engine and high performance Ansa exhaust system. The following areas require the bulk of the work: 1. floor pans are rusted out but the deal will include two Fiat-spec replacement panels that were previously purchased. 2. The rocker panels were removed and two replacements will be included in the deal. 3. The top needs replaced and the interior is mostly removed but all components will be included in the deal. 4. small dent near left front headlight 5. interior reassembly and minor upholstery replacement and cleanup (Inside door panels are in poor condition but seats and dash are average to good. Center dash console is above average but center console between seats would probably needs a replacement or reconditioning overlay that is readily available) 6. General body and repaint 7. Brakes and steering (brakes and stearing will need rebuilding) The car is currently being stored for the winter in a dry barn. I have owned six spiders over the years and this one will make an excellent restoration project or can be used for parts. The front bumper is removed but it is included in the deal and both bumpers are in better than average condition. Buyer will make all arraingements for picking up and transporting of the car to its desired location. I have extensive knowledge on these cars and can provide an honest assessment based on your plan or goal for this car. I am selling the car because, at this time, I do not have the time to dedicate to a full restoration project. Also, I currently own other fiats and need to liquidate this car.
