I have a 1978 Elcamino Black Knight, real deal !!!. I have the dealer invoice from the GM Archives showing the rare option of the Black Knight. This was an option for SS Elcamino's for only approx six months in 1978. This is a very rare option. The Elcamino has the correct Bucket seats and floor shifter. This Elcamino is in need of a full restoration. If I where to rate the Elcamino from 1 to 10, I would put it a 3. The Elcamino is complete for the most part. The Elcamino has a 305 with an automatic transmission. The Air Conditioning system has been removed by the past owner and I do not have the parts. The speedometer cable is also missing. The elcamino needs a good tune up at minimum to run correctly. The brakes are in poor condition so the Elcamino can't be driven at this time. The body is in ok shape, will need a small amount of rust repair, paint and new stripe kit which can be purchase on ebay or other elcamino catalog companies. The passenger floor pan need to be redone, past owner did a poor job of just covering a hole. The Frame overall is in ok shape. I have included photo's of the rear near the back bumper. You probably won't see a real Black Knight at any Local Car Shows. I purchased the Elcamino four months ago with plans to restore but after my wife and I talked we want a car that all the family can ride in to the car shows together. Body Tag numbers are: ST-/78/1AW80/K136 TR-/62V/A51/19L/19U 03A04/0496. Thanks for looking.
