Vehicle Detail
1963 Corvette hardtop roadster in good condition. This is a nicer than average driver with much recent work. Its a 300hp 4 speed with power brakes and am/fm. The numbers on the block, data plate, frame and pink slip all match. The high quality paint is about 18 months old and looks great in its original color of Ermine White. The body is super straight with nice gaps and no cracks. It looks to have had a replacement nose a long time ago, but you have to look close under the front panels to see the mends. The original blue interior is presentible with a nice patina. The engine runs well, and has a period Holly carb with an Offy intake manifold. The carb is a little cold blooded, but is great when warmed up. The transmission was recently rebuilt, shifts smooth and includes a period Hurst shifter. The radiator has been upgraded to a high quality aliminum one that keeps it cool in all conditions. The brakes and headlight motors were recently rebuilt as well. The chrome is good. The frame is dry, straight and rustfree. This is a fairly rare hardtop only version, meaning that it was ordered without a soft top, and it has no slots for the top frame in the rear deck. The rear window of the hardtop is fully functional, but could use polishing or replacement due to some fine scratches. All of the gauges work except the clock and the odometer (milage unknown, but car was in storage for 20+ years before I got it). The tires look to be in great shape, but they are actually very old and should be replaced before the car is driven very far. I've held off buying new tires, thinking that the new owner might have a preference for a specific brand or style. Other than tires, this Vette doesn't really need anything to be a nice driver.
