Up for auction is a 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This is a great vehicle with low mileage, and rust free. It has approximately 46,000 original miles on it. This vehicle has been completely buffed and waxed recently and is in great shape. From the pictures ( please see photobucket link ) you can tell that at one time someone did undercoat the vehicle. I scraped away the undercoating to show common rust areas and how rust free the vehicle is. This FJ has brand new Dick Cepek tires, has been tuned up and completely serviced including the oil. Has a brand new and complete soft top with doors that has only been used once. The interior is in great condition and the exterior does have a few dings and rock chips which are common for a vehicle of this age but they are minor. Everything is in great working order and there are no oil leaks. This vehicle is immaculate and has three major improvements in my opinion. Although these improvements are not original, they enhance the value and the driving experience. 1. Brand new Saginaw Power Steering! If you have ever driven a Land Cruiser you know that they are very difficult to steer. With this improvement, the steering is fantastic! 2. Brand new modern air conditioning. Works great! 3. New Weber Carburetor and complete custom exhaust. Most Land Cruisers are known for the leaky exhaust and being very underpowered. With this custom system, there are no leaky manifolds and the vehicle runs great. This is one of the best driving Land Cruisers you will find. No additions are necessary to start driving this vehicle. It has been well maintained and is ready to hit the open road! .
