Hello there, For sale I have a 1961 Corvair Lakewood wagon. This was a one owner car, and I have the original title showing the date she was bought ( Nov. 25 1960). The car was parked in late 1975 inside a nice warm garage until I purchased the car last summer. Since I have bought the car I have done nothing to her except store her inside. I had planned to start the restoration of this car this spring however my company plans to move me to NJ and rent there is just to expensive to warrant keeping the car. This would be a very easy restoration job, as the body needs no work just a quick sanding and your ready for paint, no rust and no dents that I can recall. The engine and Transmission are in good working order, minus maybe a good tuneup. I have driven the car and she feels good and tight however the master cylinder will not hold pressure very long, no leaks just will not hold pressure, I would assume the rubber inside the M.C. has started to fail. However the E-brake does work very well, and can allow you to driver the car at very low speeds mind you, down the street and back for inspection of the drive-train. The car is baby blue with blue interior, and comes with a manual 3spd tranny mated to the stantard 2.4 L 84 hp engine which starts right up. the chrome is in excellent condition. The trunk is full of extra parts manly engine parts, I was told they were parts to a 110 engine but i can not swear to it. if you have any questions regarding this car please please give me a call at 540-510-5031 or e-mail me at saabflyer89@gmail.com.
