Vehicle Detail
Project car that will need a lot of work. A welders special for sure. This car was wrecked in the front and left for dead in a field. The whole front end and even the rocker panels were rusted out so instead of replacing them all individually I had the car professionally clipped or sectioned with a 67 coupe front end with better sheet metal and good rockers but not perfect. This was done at a cost of $1600. Starting from the front and working my way back, it has a good core support and passenger frame rail. The driver side will need either patched or replaced. The tops of the apron areas have the usual holes rusted through on three spots. It has no steering, just drum wheels to roll it. The area under the cowl drain will need replaced. All floor pans will need replaced along with seat platforms. As you can see someone cut the whole driver rear area away? So to make it roll, I welded on a temporary new rear driver frame rail. The rear torque boxes look to be okay. It will need both rear quarters and inner wells along with a tail panel, trunk panels and rear valance. The good is that the fenders and doors are solid as well as the turn signal hood. The fenders and hood are not bolted on but just set in place for pictures. Included with car are the following new sheet metal, whole driver quarter panel, 1/2 of rear driver fender well and fastback trunk filler panel. A steering wheel and column will be provided along with the following. Some inner fastback pieces for rear, also sail panels and fiberglass vent panels. Also I have the front lower valance with turn signals, grill surround stainless and lower grill/bumper fill panel. I forgot the rear end is just a small 6cyl, nothing special. I have the Marti report and it was a 289 2-V engine with a 3-speed. It was painted Candyapple red with black bucket seats with a sport deck rear seat. I forgot that the door glass in the car are from a coup but I have the fastback door glass to go with the car and the bottom part of the rear seat but no rear glass. The front window is good. Only other problem I can think of is that it does have a small pinhole in the roof. I have no other parts for the car so please don't wast your time asking if it comes with anything else. A $250 deposit is due at auction end so as to know the winning bidder is serious. Car can sit in my driveway for no more than 2-weeks due to the neighbors complaints. It had to be pushed outside the garage to make room for another car taking its place. I forgot to add two of the tires have good tread and two do not. On Feb-20-12 at 08:42:32 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to note that although I welded on the new driver rear partial frame rail just to make it roll, the car will still need both full rear frame rails. On Feb-20-12 at 08:47:47 PST, seller added the following information: The only thing that does not go with the car is the rear deck lid hinges that I need to keep for my other mustang, sorry. On Feb-21-12 at 05:54:42 PST, seller added the following information: I added some more pics of stuff included in the daylight. Unfortunately I got to looking at my other Mustang and realized that I only had glass in the passenger door so I will need to keep the driver glass from this auction. Very sorry and anyone wanting me to cancel their bid for them then let me know but just don't wait until the last 24 hours of the auction or Ebay won't allow you or me to cancel a bid. Thanks, Paul On Feb-22-12 at 05:06:12 PST, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of title questions and the answer is yes I have a good, clean, clear fastback title to this car in my name.
