I have a 1987 AMC Eagle for sale. I bought it over the summer and we decided that we do not need an extra car at this time. I have invested over $1,000 in it recently (new carb, leaf springs, valve gasket, etc...). The four wheel drive works awesome. Headliner is sagging as usual with these cars. 2/16/12 - Update I wanted to let everyone know that about a month ago, the oil light came on. I replaced the oil sending unit, and the light went off for a while. However, it is back on. I talked to a mechanic and he suggested that the connection to the sending unit may need cleaned. I have not tried that. Anyway, there is no noise (tapping or knocking) coming from the engine, so, I think (not sure) that the engine is getting enough oil pressure. In addition, the rear window defroster switch will need to be replaced. I have had some questions regarding the body and undercarriage. As far as I know, there is no to minimal rust on the undercarriage. The body shows no visible rusting and is in excellent shape. The interior is also in great shape. No holes in the seats.
