This is the bug code named "RED" for your consideration....A california, super low rust 1972 vw beetle....redone from inside out, featuring a hand built 1641cc engine, cc'd for regular unleaded pump gas. Thats right folks, the rebuilt dual port heads were actually checked for cc's and deck height set properly! A very important step, unfortunately overlooked may times in the rebuild. It also has the proper distributor matched to the newer rebuilt solex 34 carburator for great acceleration without the flat spots of the "fit all" ignition set up on 90% of the bugs out there. Cima / Malhe 87 big bore pistons as well. The original pea-shooter exhaust was changed out for big throat version, looks factory, but flows better. Transmission rebuild featuring new bearings, and any wear items replaced. Custom extended shifter. Tachometer installed. New shift bushing. Brakes gone through, and worn items replaced, brakes bled, Wiring gone through, All grounds cleaned, all positive conections cleaned, fusebox cleaned, new turn signal switch. speedometer cleaned oiled, red (idiot) light markers replaced, odometer reset to 0. (now shows nine with all the test drives) dome light, horn, blinkers, heater, wipers, all working. Hood and gas door both latch and open with the proper lever pulls. New shocks all the way around. 165/15 tires sitting on "rivera" style wheels. Adjustable front end. 11 speaker stereo system, speaker set up from a bmw 7 series mated to a 50w x 4 jvc flip down cd player with line in for i-pod or mp3 player with 1/8" male stereo jack. Cerwin vega 12" subwoofer powered by a 200w amp brings in the bass at a good level, with out overpowering. Custom crossovers in front, bmw 528 crossovers in back. Sub electronic adjustable x-over. The paint was actually done awhile back. It's a ok paint job, but has some chips and cracks. It is nice and shiny though and does help the car stand out! She starts right up and is a blast to drive. Pan is in good shape, battery area perfect! No rust holes or welding done. Title is california, and crystal clear.
