This is a real eye-catcher, that gets Excellent fuel economy for this class of passenger vehicle. These diesel SUV's are reported to get in excess of 20mpg! Compare that with a similarly equipped Suburban gas model that gets 8-12mpg! This particular SUV starts right up with no hesitation even when very cold. It (like most diesels) will put out a puff of smoke when first starting on a cold day, but it goes right away. It has great passing and hill-climbing power, and though I have never used it to tow, being a diesel I expect that it is a real MULE! This Suburban is in very nice shape. I can't think of anything major that is needed on this SUV. The brakes feel great. The engine is smooth and powerful. The transmission is smooth, and shifts good. The body is very strait with only a few very minor imperfections. The paint is nice and shiny and mantains very good color. The interior is also nice, with one exception. The driver seat bottom has some wear, tears, and you may want to get a replacement, or just a new cover to replace the factory cover. The rear tires are very good, and the front tires are still good, but getting thin. This truck is not perfect, so don't expect a new SUV when buying this one, but what a heck of a nice ride!
