Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 About the Salvage Title: I've had several inquiries asking about the specific reason for the salvage title and asking about collision repairs. Here's the deal; I bought the car from a local auction that sells mostly cars donated to charity. Most of the cars run, are smog inspected, and sold like any other used car. The cars that don't run are sold on a salvage title. This car was non running as they couldn't find the keys (which were in the ashtray), and the windshield was marked "no brakes". It did appear to have been stored outside with the windows down though and the seats, carpet and door panels were in sad shape, as were the dash and steering wheel. All of these have been replaced with parts from a 635 and another M6. I sprayed the seats, door panels and other leather parts with leather paint, which is holding up surprisingly well, prior to installing them. Per the listing, all of the panels with the exception of the trunk lid appear to be original and have the BMW VIN sticker. I resealed the right front brake caliper and had the rotors turned. Prior to registering the car, it passed CA Smog, Brake and Light inspections. Overall, the car looks really nice and drives well. It's very quick, quiet, and smooth, with the exception of the squeak/clunk from the left rear that I've yet to identify. Everything works, with the exception of the rear air, cruise control, and CD Player. Oh, and that in dash computer thing, but I've got another one you can have with the car. I haven't taken the time to pursue the problems with those things, considering what the car will probably sell for. I don't want to misrepresent the car in any way and welcome questions and inspections. I want to pass the car along to a satisfied buyer at a reasonable price.
