Vehicle Detail
1979 Firebird T/A *** NO RESERVE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE *** Up for auction today is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am that was acquired though a multi-car deal and does not suit any of my needs. I only know what the previous owner and others who know the car told me, but I will share what I know. This car is a turn key streetable race car like used in Pinks All Out!! and as the pics show you can see this car was also part of the infamous Hot Rod Power Club (now known as the Power Tour). Built as a street drivable money maker in the streets of Chicago (I’ll leave it at that as “street racing” is frowned upon / not politically correct...) Engine: 4 bolt main Chevy small block with a mild cam (unknown specs), Edelbrock high rise intake, Holly 750 double pumper, Hooker long tube headers and header glass packs. Nitrous Express 100-200HP system with purge kit, and as the pics show the purge blows out the T/A fender scoops. (extra jets included) Trans: Turbo 350 (built with all TCI parts), 10 inch converter, steel scatter shield and an over sized cooler. Rear end: 10 bolt with a 4.56 spool and 31 spline Strange axles, traction bars and pinion snubber (this along with the frame tied means HARD STRAIGHT LAUNCH). Wheels: Weld Racing Pro Star wheels (pizza cutters up front and wides out back), currently riding on thin streets and screwed in slicks out back.. Chassis: lowered 2 in, traction bars, 8 pt cage, and a tied frame Fuel: 22 gallon cell, holly blue pump, BG fuel filter, and 2 adjustable regulators, one for the engine and an additional one for the Nitrous system. Interior: Racing buckets with covers, Loaded with Autometer gages (even two fuel pressure gauges with low pressure indicator warning light for the Nitrous, Monster Tach with adjustable shift light. Power windows, tilt wheel, Etc… I am sure there is more to this car (like the battery cut off switch located where the factory fuel fill used to be, lift off light weight lift off cowl hood, etc..) but I do not want to assume anything. I, along with my mechanic says everything is done well and is convinced it is a hard core street racer. The underside is SOLID and clean as it has spent its life as a Runner not a daily driver (other than cruising for another challenger or hitting the cruize nights). Everything seems to work as should, all you would need to do is swap the slicks for street tires and hit the road (or leave them on and see who you come across :).. Please look at the pictures carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions. Please look at the pics and send me any and all questions you may have, as I know I have not listed a lot of info that you may want to know about. The car is being listed locally so I reserve the rite to end the auction early. The car is being sold as is and as shown with no warranty implied. A $500.00 deposit is due within 48hrs. of auction end and full payment is due within 14 days of auction end.
