This is a 1993 SAAB 9000 CSE 5 dr. Hatchback that I bought in October of 2005. We drove it regularly up until about a year ago. The engine ran well, tubo worked great and the transmission shifted flawlessly and the brakes are still in good shape. The only problem is that the engine would not idle correctly and died if you did not keep pressure on the throttle pedal. I have had two different foreign car mechanics tell me that it is related to the Automatic Traction Control (ATC) System. Because of the the ATC, this car has an electronic throttle body and they both believe the problem is somewhere in this system. I do not want to spend any more money on the car or randomly replace parts until somebody finds out what is wrong with it. There are no SAAB mechanics in my area that know much about the 9000 or the ATC system. The only body damage is the rust on the left front fender, I have tried to show that in one of the pictures. There is also a crack in the windshield. This would make an excellent parts car in that the interior is in very good condition and the engine and transmission are in very good condition. The tires are about half worn out so they too have many miles left on them. I can answer any additional questions you may have.
