The car is currently NOT running, but it’s in good condition otherwise. Upon a quick inspection, there are three major things that need to be repaired:Battery needs to be replacedBrakes (brakes themselves may be okay, but the brake lines need to be replaced)E-brake needs to be tightened or replacedTune-up neededWhen running, it’s a VERY good, reliable car. I used to drive between Boston and Manhattan regularly without any problem. I live in Boston, so I’ve decided to go car-free for a while. Volkswagens run FOREVER, and this car definitely has some legs left on it. I just don’t have the funds to maintain it right now.I’m the original owner and can tell you it’s been in two accidents – one of either side of the front end. Both were fixed at a Volkswagen dealership with genuine Volkswagen parts. The transmission was flushed and serviced a year ago and still works well, the starter and exhaust were also replaced in 2011. I’m asking $1,100. In a conservative estimate, Kelley Blue Book lists this at $1,830 in fair, NON-running condition with repairs needed. There is roughly $600-700 worth of work that needs to go into the car.
