2006 Ford F150 XL Regular Cab 4.6Liter EFI V8 Engine. 14 mpg city and 18 highway with gasoline only, but up to 30 mpg city with Electric Assist. Tow package, Automatic, 4 speed with overdrive. The truck is in great condition, low miles and owned by a San Diego-based Plug In Hybrid Company. It works as a normal Combustion Engine, but with the flip of a switch this truck has the ability to operate as a plug-in hybrid around town on surface streets, using a battery pack that will need to be installed in the tool box in the bed of the truck. Installed are a Curtis Battery Meter, Warp 11 Motor, Alltrax Controller #AXE7245 R4, and QuikQ Charger (see photos). You will need to buy either lead acid batteries (which can be purchased at any local auto parts retailer) or large-format, deep-cycle lithium ion batteries (if you have a special connection, but these are not required). 72v system. The 4-wheel drive differential has been replaced by the NetGain Warp 11 Motor, and that is included with the sale. The truck itself has a book value of over 8400 but the electric engine and hybrid plug in parts, labor and installation are over $5000. This truck is reliable and was serviced regularly.
