Vehicle Detail

Hello, up for bid is my 1988 Thunderbird turbo coupe that I bought off of Ebay in March 2005, where I picked it up from Orlando, FL as a second owner car. I have never transfered the title into my name, but I do have it signed over to me. The winner of this auction will recieve the title, and a bill of sale transfering ownership to the buyer, along with a copy of this Ebay auction. When I bought the car, it was being sold as not running, it had been diagnosed with a burnt valve at a Ford dealership in Orlando. I had already decided that I wanted to build an engine up, so this was a good start. Of course when I got into the motor it only had a blown head gasket. Go figure, so I decided I already there why not. So I ordered one of the last set of replacement pistons from Sealed Power in .060 over bore, and had the block machined. The crank turned .010-.010, and I had the rods re-sized + polished beams and ARP bolts. It has a High volumn oil pump, with stock pan. The head was ported and polished with large stainless valves, dual Comp Cams springs, and a ranger roller cam was installed. I've tried several intakes set-ups and currently it has a merkur/SVO intake that has been cut open and ported then welded back. The lower is knifed, and matched to the head. It has a Kirban adjustable regulator and vision motorsports fluid fuel pressure gauge on the rail. I have 42# Ford motorsport green top injectors installed, honestly it needs a new set of 36#'s, but I wanted to play it safe. Walbro 255 fuel pump, and a new fuel filter are in place. It has ARP head studs, and all Fel-pro gaskets. A stainless stock location header, so there is no EGR, and the intake has been blocked off. The turbo is a NOS (new old stock) from a closed dealership I bought at a swap meet, still in the ford box. I did polish the shell so it looks very nice. It still uses the top mount intercooler, it has been moddified with a blow off valve on the back side just behind the shock tower. Braided oil, and water lines, and all new sensors, including ECU. MSD coil, new disturbutor and stock replacement wires, and a new alternator. It has a cheap manual boost controller, but it can't be trusted, so it's hollow, and the motor runs currently on 10 psi. The intercooler lip is polished and cleared, but needs sanded out and buffed ( still looks nice). The throttle body is stock, but has had the inlet rolled back,it was honed, and the throttle blade has been thinned up. The engine starts first key turn, and idles well, but with the large injectors smells rich while warming up. The AC is removed, and the heat is by-passed. It has a Spec stage 1 clutch and a steeda tri-ax shifter. 2 1/4 down pipe with no cat, just an electric exhaust cut-out into dual super 40 flowmasters. The tires are dried out, so it will need rubber. It has been painted a dark gray, the florida sun was not kind to the paint. It does need repainted, it isn't a very good job. The interior has been upgraded alittle, some dash plastic has been painted, the radio has been removed and a gauge set-up has been installed. It has an A-pillar pod with autometer carbon fiber boost gauge (is hooked up) and narrow band oxygen guage ( is not hooked up). The seats are not torn, and carpet is dirty, but not stained ( just needs a vaccum from sitting ), the door panels are the worst with broken tabs and the usual wear. The dash is cracked and the center console lid is junk. The shift boot has been replaced, but the plastic the holds it has the two pins broken, so that piece needs replaced, or when you shift it wil flop around. Back seats, and back interior are very nice. Everything in the trunk is removed. A have seen alot of turbo coupes and this one is a 7 out of 10. It has 161,972 on the body, I hit the trip when I first put the engine back in, and it has some where around 140 miles on it. I have spent along time slowing getting together, and taking it aprt, and puttin get together.I have spent alot of time and money on this car. It has absolutely no rust, no body filler. I still have the car fax I was given when I picked the car up. It still has the Ford book in the glove compartment, with the extened warrantly program purchased for the car and all that info. The car was serviced at a dealership its whole life, before I bough it. It hasn't been titled or driven since around mid 2004. Thr brakes are great, no steering issues. I have driven down the street to test changes out, and this and thta. Those trips are the 140 or so miles on the engine. Oh, it also has a MOMO italian steering wheel, with all grant adapters. I really love the car, and have been working on it every winter. It still needs some small things, all cosmetic, and this will be someones dream car. It has been mine for along time. I don't want to sell it, but I lost my job serval months back, and I have no more resources. I must sell it. I will load the car if shipping is arranged, or drive down, and pick it up yourself. I can hold the car for a couple weeks if need be for you to arrange to get it. I'm sure I've missed something, if I remember anything else, I will come back and add it. Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for your time. added: Drivers window is off track- one broken tail light cover
