Vehicle Detail
1972 Ford Maverick Grabber.Original Grabber and original 302 vehicle built in Kansas city confirmed by vin.I bought the car last year with the intention of restoring it, but with just recently enlisting in the Marines I have no time to build this wonderful car, and would rather have someone make use of it. I have been driving it to and from work for the past 6mthsI bought the car with a a blown 302 Ford motor, I had it for about a week and bought a new 347 stroker motor online for $3,900.bought a new c4 ford transmission locally here in Jacksonville Florida, the transmission is still under warranty. CAN HELP WITH SHIPPING. Motor- This motor is a Ford '302' "347 Stroker" with 340hp 390 ft/lbs of torque, the machine work on the block includes: Bore-hone and deck gasket surface for positive sealing, fit block with new Durabond cam bearings and brass freeze plugs, SpeedPro flatop hypereuthic pistons and molly rings. 1.6 rocker rollers, The cast steel 3.40" stroke crank, and 5.40" I-beam rods, provide enough strength to handle 125hp shot of nitrous. A custom ground hydraulic roller cam, with specs (226`/232`@.050" with .540" lift on 112`LSA), provides a power range of 2000-6000rpm Add ons- Holly ignition, edelbrock dominator intake manifold, holley street dominator carb, speedpro water pump Transmission- Brand new Ford C4 transmission built with all red eagle internals, with a 2000 stall converter. linked up to a 3.55 posi rear end Body- I am not a body man but I am not blind. The car has one or two rust bubble spots above the chrome strip near the roof, one rust bubble spot on the passenger rocker panel. From what I can tell there is not other rust on the vehicle, I had it up on the lift and inspected frame and chassis, the car had no rust underneath. The battery was relocated to the trunk (Previous owner). When I bought the car it was already painted champion Toyota blue. I have not done any body work to this car since I have owned it. Suspension- From what the previous owner has told me the car has newer leafsprings in the rear and kyb air shocks. Interior- This maverick has the original ford interior, with the exception of a new shifter installed in the floor and new carpet, the front seat needs to be recovered, and the headliner has an inch long tear, but is all original and never tampered with, very clean interior for original. I have listed everything to the best of my knowledge and if any additional information or pictures or needed please do not hesitate to ask. CONS~ The car currently has a fiberglass hood, I have no Idea why? maybe to reduce weight, but I forgot to put one hood pin in and the hood has a couple cracks near the edges, nothing serious that cant be fixed, just need to list it, also has a few scratches, the front grill has a crack in it, as well as the drivers side headlamp, it currently has a 3 core aluminum radiator, it has a small puncture on one of the rails, but can be fixed, I can source another radiator if needed. CAR HAS NEVER OVERHEATED. Motor only has 8,000 Miles. also car needs a little alignment, has been pulling to right ever since i bought it, but not bad. I WILL BE STARTING THE BIDDING AT THE PRICE OF THE MOTOR. $500 Deposit is due 24hrs after auction end. Thanks and happy bidding
