McKean Supply is auctioning a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville. This auction only lasts 5 days and ends Saturday evening. The car has been owned and driven by the owner of McKean Supply for the last 2.5 years. I purchased the car when it had 216,000 miles on it. The car has been driven about 5 days per week and was just inspected until January of 2013. The car runs very good with no problems. It also has a good transmission that shifts fine with no problems. This car has never let me down and has always started for me in any weather. It has 1/2 tread on the front tires and the rear tires are new with only about 300 miles on them. All 4 tires are an all season tread. The previous owner told me the engine was replaced at 180,000 miles with a low miles engine. The engine is very smooth and has lots of power. The car was a southern vehicle until 2004. *front rotors and brakes new last year *rear drums and brakes new last month *new gas tank installed 2 weeks ago. Sending unit and fuel pump were new last year. *oil has been changed and greased every 3000-4000 miles since I have owned it. *transmission oil and filter was changed last year *full size spare tire in the trunk *air conditioning system was charged this past summer and blows cool air but not super cold *The stereo/CD player is an aftermarket nice model but there seems to be a short in the wiring somewhere because it shuts off frequently. The unit may even need to be replaced. *There are some rust issues as the pictures show but only a few of the areas have penetrated through the metal. The worst spot is in front of the left rear tire. *There are also several areas of cosmetic damage as shown in the pictures, especially right front fender and front bumper. *The mechanic who just inspected it said the brake lines were rusty and should be replaced sometime in the 12 months before the next inspection of 2013. *roof liner is sagging in a few spots *left sideview mirror is broken (A new one in the box is included, just needs installed) *each time the oil is changed, it is about a quart low so it leaks about 1 quart every 3000-4000 miles. It does have a few drips after sitting in the driveway but nothing major. *The key has failed to unlock the doors from the outside 3 times. Most of the time it works. May need the locks lubricated. *We can deliver the vehicle to certain locations for an additional fee. Payment would be due before delivery. Ask if you are interested in this option. This is an older car with high miles. It has been driven easy since I bought it and never run hard or abused. If the next owner is going to run it hard, it might not be as dependable as it has been for me. If its taken care of and maintained, it will hopefully be a good car for years.
