The elderly, original owner passed away early this year and his widow sold the car to a friend who, in turn, brought it to us. The original owner had a small barn/shed on his property where the car had been garaged for many years. He kept the car maintained and drove it as recently as about a year ago. We went through the car, changed a few hoses, etc., charged the battery and she fired right up! The car starts, runs, drives & stops very well. The air conditioning compressor had no belt on it when we got the car and we left it that way. The compressor spins easily though and may, or may not, work. The car is super solid with no rust in the floors, door bottoms or trunk pan. I don't know if I'd say it's rust free but we really don't see any rust on the car, other than a few spots of surface rust. She comes with all her original manuals, inculding the Buick Owner Protection Plan book with the Protecto-Plate intact! There is also much service/ownership history paperwork with the car, including some hand-written notes of the original owner. The car itself has the hard to find bucket seat & console interior, along with power steering & brakes, tilt wheel, AC, power antenna (works!), clock, AM radio with rear speaker (not working), speed warning alarm, turbine style wheel covers & more. The 430 cubic inch V-8, has plenty of power (360 H.P. & 475 lbs. ft. torque) and the console shifted 3 speed automatic shifts well. The dual exhaust sounds great too. All the gauges and barrel style speedometer appear to be working properly as do the heater blower and concealed headlights. Indeed, we've been driving the car around town and haven't found any significant issues. We have found a few places where some gold paint is showing so we assume that is the original color. This car is very usable and fun just as it is. It would also make a very easy rolling restoration project or cool hot rod. She's all there!
