2000 Dodge Caravan Sport Van Features & Condition This is a 2000 Dodge Caravan. Includes 3.3L V6 Engine with Automatic Transmission, Steering Column Shift. It uses Gasoline or E-85 Flex. Specs state 18 MPG City and 25 MPG Highway, but in reality, I get more like 16.5 MPG City and 23 MPG Highway. Van has Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Rear Window Defogger, and Cruise Control. It is equipped with auto start for those cold winter days. It is a White Exterior with the Gray/Blue Cloth Interior. Seats 7, second and third row seats are removable. Exterior of van is in overall good condition, but does have a few dings and scratches as would be expected from a used automobile. New tires about 2 years ago. Interior does need a good cleaning and detailing; however, it is in good overall condition. I purchased this vehicle in 2006 from the original owner, the University of NC School System, when in the market for a MiniVan. I chose this one because of the University System's insistence upon regular and scheduled maintenance, so I was sure it had been well-cared for. It is used as a daily driver and is reliable – I’ve not had any problems with it. Most trips are the usual in-town shopping and entertainment runs; however, about 3 times a year it is taken to Peoria, about 150 miles away, and about once a year to NC, about 700 miles. It has always performed well. Oil changes have been done every 3000 to 3500 miles – it is due for one now. Just had Illinois State Emissions Testing done this past Friday, 1-27, and it passed with no issues. NOTE: ADDITIONAL PHOTOS WILL BE ADDED WEDNESDAY, 2-1 Any Issues Van is at present due for an oil change and needs cleaning. While no major mechanical issues exist, it does need a front-end alignment and needs brakes replaced. They work fine, but I am beginning to hear a minor rubbing at the left front pad. Keyless entry system does not 'unlock,' but 'lock' and 'auto start' functions work fine - pretty sure it's just a wire loose. I am not aware of any other issues with this vehicle. Other We are getting rid of vehicle because we need something larger, capable of carrying an electric mobility chair and have purchased another van. Van has about 143,000 miles (I purchased it with 84000 in 2006). Van is located in Matteson, Illinois. Van is being started at a reasonable price, significantly below Book (less than half of KBB's Private Party estimated value), and no reserve has been placed.
