Here's a Classic: 1990 Range Rover County - the top of the line! - 3.9L V8 motor- Aluminum Body- Tan Leather interior - no rips or tears.- Sun Roof- Original AM/FM Radio with CD Changer- 130K original miles - less than 7,000 miles/yr on average- Tow Hitch- Chrome Rims- Two new Michelin tires 2nd owner, locally owned car. I purchased the car in 1997 from Smith Volvo a local dealer in San Luis Obispo with 42.000 miles on it. My wife used it for her primary means of transportation during the time we have owned it. Body & Interior are in very good shape - NO RUST, tires are in excellent condition and I also have a new OEM front valance for the Rover. Now the bad (sort-of) news: The car was running well until one morning the transmission failed. I purchased a remanufactured unit w/torque converter from a dealer in Arizona to replace the failed unit for the cost of $1200 + shipping but as fate would have it, we ended up buying a new car before I installed the remanufactured unit (something along the lines: I need a car NOW!). So the old transmission is out of the car and the remanufactured unit needs to be installed; the car will also need a battery. As far as I know, that's it - as I said the engine was running well when the trans went out. This faithful steed just needs a good home and a few hours of labor! $1800 is barely more than the cost of the remanufactured transmission and the tires! I have several extra air, oil and fuel filters I will include as well.
