Vehicle Detail
1960 Chevrolet Nomad wagon with 56,156 ORIGINAL miles. ORIGINAL matching numbers V-8 engine and transmission. This car remains with its ORIGINAL two- tone lacquer paint, and beautiful ORIGINAL red and white interior. This wagon passed New York State inspection in 2010. Power brakes and power steering. One owner, and completely untouched. Solid car with no filler. All doors, including the tailgate, line up properly and open and close easily and smoothly, with that solid, perfectly-aligned sound. The floors, rockers, doors, sills, and doglegs are all solid as well. All the stainless trim chrome pieces are original, including a very nice Chevy badge on the grille, and original wiper arm blade holders too. Features beautiful, original deluxe 1960 factory spinner hubcaps. The ORIGINAL interior is outstanding, with beautiful red/white/check pattern seats having no rips. The rear seat still has the clear plastic slip cover on it from new, fully intact. The plastic clear front cover was cracked and only recently removed. The door panels are all beautiful originals with clean chrome accents. The headliner is original. The sporty, Corvette-style dash is magnificent, with original paint, chrome gauges, and coves. The steering wheel has no cracks, chips, or pieces missing. The checked wide Nomad chrome brightwork on the dash gleams like NOS. Original cigarette lighter. All factory glass, including wrap-around windshield, is in great condition. All windows work properly, including the crank vent windows. The electric power rear tailgate window operates from the original driver's dash switch beautifully. Importantly, the tailgate is in excellent condition and not rusted. The original hinges are still shiny. Dash lights, license plate lights, dome light, etc. all work. ORIGINAL survivor car as is, however tremendous original show car potential. Drivable now, but deserves new radial tires (four original rims on car). This matching numbers V-8 engine runs perfectly, has full vacuum and compression and has never been touched. An engine compartment clean-up will bring it back to a magnificent correct original look. The rust and/or damage on the car is very minimal, and mainly contained to the front and rear under-bumper valances. These are readily available. The front fenders are very solid and have approximately 5% rust in the corners adjacent to the hood. Otherwise, these fenders are completely solid and do not need replacing. It really has 56,000 miles with no uncertainty attached to it. Please call (718)486-3271 for any accurate information needed about this car. No disappointments, all is disclosed. Thank you and please bid with confidence.
