Found in a warehouse with several vintage Chevrolets is this 1970 Javelin. It appears to have been stored for the last 5 years or so. It was originally red with a black interior, painted blue at some time, and is now in grey primer. This AZ Javelin is a solid platform for your restoration. The exterior sheetmetal is in good condition, and all trim, with the exception of the rocker stainless, the SST emblems, and one side marker is present. It is also missing it's front bumper. The interior is in need of all of it's upholstery, and is missing one door panel. The previous owner started to dis -assemble the dash and accessories. Most of the dash, console, and misc. trim items are included in the sale. The engine is a 304, w/ a 2 barreI carb. The motor turns, and appears to be complete, with the exception of the A/C components. I would rate this Javelin as better than a parts car, simply because of the rust free chassis and body. It appears that the previous owner grafted a 71-74 rear spoiler onto the deck lid. All the glass is present, but the windshield needs to be replaced. Unfortunatly I have no keys to this vehicle, but the steering is unlocked, and the previous owner installed a push button starter. An aftermarket steering wheel, and later model bucket seats have also been installed. It also looks as if this was once a vinyl top car. The front grill is there, but will need replacement. The tires hold air, but are basically rollers. Sold AS IS, where is. I have no time or resources to work on this project, so I'm selling at no reserve. Vehicle must be towed, and paid for within 7 days of auctions end. I accept cash in hand, and bank checks that must clear before the vehicle is released. I can store the vehicle up to 30 days for no charge. High bidder wins, so be prepared to pay. I have a stellar record on E-bay, and intend to keep it that way. As most already know, there is a 68-70 and a 71-74 rear spoiler. The one on this car seems to fit OK, but is obviously not a 68-70 item. Additionally, the A/C control, and one of the freon lines are both still in the car.
