1989 525i BMW in good condition. I am the second owner and have put the last 194,000 mile on the car. Maintenance records are available. Non-smoker. No rust. No accidents. No flood damage. A Southern car not exposed to salt conditions. Automatic transmission changed in last 35000 miles. Uses about 1/3 quart of oil every 3000 miles. Timing belt is current. Good tires and brakes. Aging interior with some loose edges of the headliner and door panels. The driver seat has been restitched along the seam. Minor scratch to right rear passenger lower panel. Few very small dings other areas. Needs some repairs which include:1) electric window motor right front passenger window 2)left rear passenger door will not open-electric locking mechanism is frozen 3)the automatic door lock system is not working, to lock the four doors 4)air conditioner compressor bearing makes occasional noise but is blowing cold air and was changed to current system four years ago 5)idles slow and a little irregular until reaches warm up temperature.6)warning system messages on dashboard scroll through with false warnings for every system from "door open" to "needs washer fluid". Otherwise, it is a strong and responsive driver in town and on the highway. Car has a trailer hitch for pulling a garden trailer in town. It has never been used for heavy towing or extend over the road towing.
