Vehicle Detail
For Sale is my 1947 Nash B600 Street Rod. Very unique and always a prize winner at every car show. This car has had over $30,000 invested into it. $14,000 in paint job alone! The Nash Automobile has had a very colorful past beginning with its debut in 1918. A man known as "Crusty" Charles W. Nash was president of GM, when he retired to build his own car- the Nash. The company he purchased in Kenosha, Wisconsin, produced a lackluster car called "Jeffrey." During 1947 there were 101,000 cars made. The Nash was 10th in the nation. Profits were considered high. The decision was made to drop the 8 cylinder engine and concentrate on their prove 6 cylinder engine. George Mason, Nash's successor, knew a merger was the only way to guarantee their survival. Companies mentioned for merger were Hudson, Studebaker and Packard..all now relegated to history and kept alive through restoration. Rambler ended up buying the rights to Nash. The restoration on this Nash was accomplished using a chassis, engine transmission and rear end from a 1965 Rambler Station Wagon. Included in this sale are orginal owners manuel, and all accessory and installation guides, several Life magazine advertisements for the Nash, and CD changer in trunk that works from Nash replica radio in dash. The car has 5300 miles on it since its total ground up restoration and re-fit.
