This is a very rare '71 Thunderbird Special Brougham. It has 429 cubic inch 360 horsepower V-8, heavy duty C6 automatic transmission, 9 inch ring gear rear axle Handling suspension option oil cooler air conditioning am-fm four speaker factory stereo rear defogger power antenna Power Windows Speed Control Rim-blow steering wheel Cayman grain vinyl top Bucket seats Console 6 way power drivers seat Ultra rare passenger recliner Special Brougham trim color keyed stone guard bodyside moldings cornering lights luxury wheel covers luxury trunk trim Remote mirror visor vanity mirror luxury decor group hopsack cloth trim reading lights map light Ultra rare factory installed GT driving lights in the grill There are probably a few other things I've forgotten but it's a well equipped car for the time. Oh, the paint. It is a rare Lincoln color called "Ginger Moondust." The car was a "DSO" or District Special Order, so someone at Ford went to great lengths to have it built for them, including the special order paint. This car was a barn find. I had pulled it out where it had been sitting for years. I have no room and too many projects so it has to go. What ever it sells for is what it sells for, this is a no reserve auction. This car needs a complete restoration. It is by no means perfect or mint = READ ON The car has rust on the wheel wells and lower quarters. Holes in some areas! Rockers are solid Surface rust on front fenders. Paint is dull Some bubbling under the vinyl top. Interior is all there and dry, but needs a good cleaning and a few stitches here and there. Frame and floor pan are straight and solid Trunk has some rust but NOT through nor is it falling apart. Gas tank should probably be removed and boiled. Car runs very well, but I have never driven it. It should be inspected by a qualified mechanic before you do. I don't know about the other systems, as I've NEVER driven the car. Again, this is a project. But an easy one to bring back. A very rare car and for those who know what it is, a real find. I'm selling this car as is. I'm not a dealer, I can't warranty it. You must PICK IT UP. It needs to be towed/flatbed away. I wouldn't drive it. I only accept paypal.
